Monrovia® Blood Banana is a very symmetrical dwarf tropical plant with a trunk-like false stem and huge blue green paddle shaped foliage marked with deep blood red blotches. Grows best in full sun and rich, consistently moist well drained soils. Blood Banana’s small size makes it manageable as a houseplant and can still produce fruit grown inside or outside. Treat as an annual if outside. Container grown is typically limited to 5-6′.
